MICON WORKBENCH is a full featured graphical configurator for the universal control module RCM+. The graphical configurator supports Function Block Diagrams (FBD) and includes more than 130 general functions supported by the MICON RCM+. It also includes specialized FBs specifically for compressor stations and boiler applications.

WORKBENCH provides On-Line diagnosis of RCM+ controllers including current status in an MICON VIEW Operator Display. The engineer may force variable values, and watch the flow of data through the function blocks.  WORKBENCH includes security to block this functionality via the use of password protection.

Intelligent integration of MICON WORKBENCH and MICON VIEW provides outstanding advantages in engineering of the Operator Station Displays and the Controller Configuration. Operating and monitoring variables from the configuration project are available in both systems - they only need be created on one side. Aligning of variable changes (e.g. rename) is done automatically with no additional work.

WORKBENCH supports MICON Automatic Engineering Wizards that Auto-Generate standard controllers configurations for Compressor and Boiler applications.  After answering application specific questions, the engineer can run the Wizard which will automatically create all loops, variables, and alarms required for a typical configuration of the type requested.  The engineer may then modify this configuration to accommodate any additional elements specific to their applications.  The Wizard will then allow the engineer to select from installed controllers and download the configurations.
