MICON's roots go back to a small but powerful research and development group, Process Systems, Inc. (PSI), founded in 1972. MICON was the first microprocessor-based multifunction controller to be used in the process industry. From a dedicated controller manufacturer, the company has evolved to a complete automation system supplier on the principles of providing advanced system solutions with high reliability. Our headquarters in Houston, Texas draws from our broad experience in design, development, and support of high technology automation systems.

Today's MICON is again in the forefront of system deployment using state-of-the-art tools to create our AUTOMATIC ENGINEERING WIZARDS.  MICON Automatic Engineering can be used to generate consistent Operator Displays, Alarms, and Trends for a complete working system that comes up and running literally in minutes.  MICON Wizard’s work by reading the controller configurations you select, then Automatically creating all of the variables, displays, and communications links for you.  Additionally, you have the freedom to customize our Wizard templates to suit your preferences.

Our Houston manufacturing facilities are along the Gulf Freeway (Interstate 45), just inside the 610 Loop.  We are about 15 minutes from Hobby Airport.
